Fun in the sun and fanservice continues.

Big thanks goes out to David and Steven who donated to the comic this week, thanks so much for the support, dudes!

New fanart from G M. Dea (of the webcomic Draginbeard which can be accessed on the links page) has been added to the gallery. Thanks!

Closing in on the end of Chapter 6, couple more weeks, hoping to get it all done without any delays, we'll see how I do!

Hmm, this seems... off... the world cant really be that much of a barren wasteland and just... be that... methinks there's more to this world that Hyperion isn't letting on.

Heh, but that's just me putting on a tin foil hat.

Nice to see the girls chatting about and the boys having some fun.

I also really love the sunlight animation you put into the comic, very nice!

Thanks! Pleased with how the effect came out, it was still strange to design it (and worked with these colors) after 5 chapters of dark and neon.

We must see Papa going down on a guy. WE MUST ALL SEE THIS!

Papa is straight, hate to break any hearts. Though with enough drinks and compliments who knows what could happen.

I love the added detail of the sunlight/sun rays... They really bring the page to life :)

Ahh, letting go. I think that's a difficult thing to do. I mean there's even a song about it. :P

Despite being barren, you've done a great job of giving the Wastelands life. :)

Does this page remind anyone else of an old U2 song? lol

I don't know U2 that well. Beautiful Day maybe?

I don't know U2 that well either, but there was a time when "With or Without You" was played incessantly on the oldies station. (back when I listened to the radio) It's from 1987 and I was shocked and appalled that a song from my childhood was playing on the oldies station!

For some reason, this 'page' seems shorter than usual...left me wanting more, kinda. But I always smile when I see it pop up in my updates
MortarAndPistol 5th Apr 2015, 2:44 PM edit delete reply
I thought so too, but then I remembered the hand injury, maybe he shortened a page to two to save the buffer?
pikinanou 5th Apr 2015, 12:32 PM edit delete reply
wow easy Fridge, there's nothing to limit your artificial muscles out there, you could choke Papa for real :P

It's not "letting go" and "moving on" when a place feels like home. It's like, coming home and doing something you enjoy, or coming across things that bring back memories!

I guess Mackie isn't used to that whole thing yet ... some things are better than being materialistic (I suppose I shouldn't judge her too harshly though)

I totally have a feeling they're going to run across something tropical/amazing before their trip ends. Just a feeling.
Danny Zephronic 5th Apr 2015, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
Well, the impression I got wasn't that Galvin enjoys working at HCC...

It's more like he does it because he feels like it's the only way he can keep his dad in his heart
MortarAndPistol 5th Apr 2015, 2:33 PM edit delete reply
Yeah... that last Papa/Fridge panel isn't suggestive at all.

OMG!!! Best line ever! This Easter has been all about the balls for me, but I'll leave that on Facebook...maybe Tumblr too.

Beuatiful chapter, as always. Mackie should start a solarpunk movement, hehe. Turn that wasteland into lush, diverse and prosperous cities.

That umbrella looks like a retro UFO. I like how the boys are being so carefree and having fun and not giving a fuck what others say.
Notos 6th Apr 2015, 12:23 PM edit delete reply

The umbrella was another case of "should they still look like they do now 100-ish years in the future?". It was pretty fun to design. As were the boys.
Kiri 6th Apr 2015, 7:07 AM edit delete reply
to be honest here - I don't think talking about Galvin is talking about males... it's talking about family - a way different thing.

Nice page Notos - glad to see everyone getting some bonding time - but ooch I hope that Galvin doesn't have any bad news.

I just GOTTA ask, man: Were you inspired by the Fallout games at all while working on the wastelands? These last few pages have felt so...fallout.
Notos 8th Apr 2015, 12:31 PM edit delete reply
Notos
No I've never actually played Fallout. More so I was inspired by Fist of the Northstar, Akira and Battle Angel for the post-apocalypse landscapes.

Fridge Wrestling. Never thought those were words I'd put together, or enjoy so much.

Galvin's darker side slowly unfolding is so real it hurts. It's almost a little hard to read because I know exactly what "not letting go" feels like. Part of me hopes the trip goes well, but I'm sure there's going to be conflict of some kind soon.
