Some more behind the scenes stuff. I'll have a more concrete hiatus schedule next week, as I should have a better idea of how smoothly production is going, thanks for the patience!

Big thanks to Albert who donated to the comic this week, much appreciated!!

Love the animations that are part of the strip. Do they take a lot of time to render?
Notos 24th May 2015, 5:29 PM edit delete reply
Thanks! Since many of the animations are mostly 'eye catchers' like neon signs or other effects, they don't take too long, they are a lot simpler than the stuff I do for my studio work.

I quite like the roughs /with/ cleans presentation!

Definitely a "behind" the scenes peek this week. :D

I really appreciate your hiatus updates. I continue to come back to see what you're up to even when the story's not progressing, which means I don't get out of the habit of checking in on Sundays--and I am all ready for when you start up the story again! I also really enjoy seeing the roughs and cleans and minor changes in expression and posture that happen. Plus the animations are fun to see implemented!

Anyway, tl;dr: thank you! I really like the comic!

Just doing my part to hit the fanservice quota.

I LOVE your comic, man! I just caught up and I've been really enjoying your art and animations. The whole format is great in its execution. I'm digging the story and you write your characters so well.

A lot of it hit close to home for me. Your theme of relationships having to be managed like an expense and Vinny's self-consciousness and anxiety especially.

The fanservice is appealing as well. ;)

And you've talked about it before but I'd just like to say I really like how Daily Leisure Credit's acronym is DLC. Makes it easy to form parallels between your setting and the current trend in gaming and communication networks.

Looking forward to more, especially the ask-a-character portion of this hiatus!

Hey Remetheus thanks for the kind words, glad you're enjoying the comic so far! It was really easy to incorporate the idea of DLC as a real-life system, the entire concept of it pretty much killed gaming as a hobby for me, though drawing pretty much took over so at least that.

What's with that hashtag? It's getting in the way of the artwork! ;) But no seriously, is that a trending topic we should know about?

It's me poking fun at the recent trend of public outrage shaming and browbeating artists into changing, or outright removing their art from consumption.
