Remember when it catches on, you heard it here first folks; "Nitro". Fridge, truely a linguistic pioneer.

Wooo! back again, NITRO!
MortarAndPistol 16th Mar 2014, 3:11 PM edit delete reply
Ha. He has a shirt on that says "Dolly" (some reference I'm sure I don't get) but is also doing the work of a Dolly! Also, I see the trouble you're brewing. Excellent work as always.
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:28 PM edit delete reply
I saw the Dolly logo on a magazine cover from the 80's. I think at the end of this chapter I'll do a "who's who" of all the logo's and brands you see throughout the chapter, so if you are curious about one you see, remember it.

Awesome as always, Notos!
Love the flow and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm totally going to start saying "Nitro" instead of "Kickin" from now on
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:29 PM edit delete reply
Let's make it a thing!

Super stoked! Can't wait for next sunday! The wait was crayyyy
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:42 PM edit delete reply
I know, it was a long wait. If I could produce the pages faster I would!
Guest 16th Mar 2014, 8:28 PM edit delete reply
I can't see the pages, I only see a white square where it should be the comic, what do I need to see it?
Guest 16th Mar 2014, 8:41 PM edit delete reply
Flash player for starters and if you have some sort of script blocker, you'll need to give it permissions to run scripts on this site
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:30 PM edit delete reply
Yes, what the comment above says. Make sure you have the latest Flash player installed.

for a moment i thought it was a turntable console, interesting vinnie wearing a beret, let's see how the date goes.
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:41 PM edit delete reply
Yeah I had it designed as a turntable console at first, but didn't want to "date" it, since it's supposed to be 'ancient', I ended up making it an arbitrary looking piece of equipment.

hope fridge does not have a mysterious capsule in his pawn shop mmm well seeing dallas, kane, lambert brett and ripley on the wall of the shop hehe. Love alien movies especially the first one
Notos 18th Mar 2014, 1:18 PM edit delete reply
Yep one of my all time favorites as well :)
NobodyImportant11 16th Mar 2014, 10:35 PM edit delete reply
"Shameless" seems to be a good description of Galena, Papa Obari, and Fridge. Vinnie has more than enough shame for all four of them, though.
Also, it should be "one of these babies". No apostrophe.
Notos 16th Mar 2014, 10:40 PM edit delete reply
Yeah the Hot Legs gang are like peas in a pod. And thanks for the correction.
bmarch 17th Mar 2014, 4:05 AM edit delete reply
Great scene of them moving the old console. Vinnie looks good in a cap. Hee hee, Fridge has "cyber" porn. I was wondering, just how typical is Hyperion City in this future? It's been hinted at that the outside landscape is fairly desolate and tough to survive in. So,I'm thinking Hyperion has become standard for humans due to massive ecological damage/climate change? Or is it more unique?
Notos 17th Mar 2014, 1:05 PM edit delete reply
Hyperion is pretty standard, the world they live in currently would have ended up this way one way or another, the natural disaster just expedited the process to a great degree and made it much more concentrated.

Is this the first time we find out Fridge's name? I sure would have hated to miss a Bubblegum Crisis reference if not.
Notos 17th Mar 2014, 1:01 PM edit delete reply
I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned before, if not it's been in his profile on the Cast page since he first showed up.

I'm loving the comic, especially the way you draw the backgrounds. The main character is lovable and if he were real, he'd be a cutie, for sure.

I do have a question, though. Is English your primary language?
Notos 20th Mar 2014, 1:07 PM edit delete reply
Thanks glad you dig it! English is my first language, yes.
Guest 20th Mar 2014, 12:14 PM edit delete reply
This comic is so wonderful! I like how you take care of every single detail. I love the animated background and the colors you choose, the history is amazing. I can really feel the love you have for this webcomic.

Really like this comic so far it's amazing.
I have 2 questions.
1)Is there any situation where talking doesn't spend DLC as in hospitals where you have to describe your symptoms, health history, etc even for the doctor that has to ask that stuff all day have to pay to do his/her job?As that is not really leasure time at all it shouldn't apply.

2)Does text messages or being in the presence of another person writing on paper instead of talking use DLC?
Notos 23rd Mar 2014, 3:01 PM edit delete reply
Thanks alot!
1. There are certain situations where it wont apply, yes. Check out the chapter 1 supplement where DLC is described more in-depth. In general it won't kick in until 20-25 seconds of conversation has occured, so you could place and order at a restaurant or call for a taxi before starting to be charged. Certain businesses will have on-site rates, or DLC-Free areas like Hospitals as you mentioned, but as everything is constantly monitored it would apply only to site-specific dialogue.

2. Text messages are also charged. I don't imagine writing on paper would be, but that would be terribly inconvenient. (Also 800+ years from now in the comics world using pen and paper would be like using a Crank Phone today in real life)
