Here we go with the last of the 'behind the scenes' hiatus packages. Next week we'll be picking the brain of the ever-fabulous Galena, who won the vote by a whopping 47% lead. I guess it's the ladies time so shine, step aside boys! Stop by next Sunday with your questions.

I'm also pleased to direct your attention to the Media tab above. Here I'll be (eventually) be adding BT artwork, I might move the fanart over there. But for now, I'm very happy to say I have 2 links to M-308 Gunner inspired songs created by the talented Mike Carss! Go and check them out, and be sure to check out the link to Mike's upcoming project Burlorke, where you can find even more of his stuff to enjoy.

As always, thanks for the patience during the hiatus, here is the schedule for the remainder;

August 3 - Ask Galena Questions
August 10 - Ask Galena Answers
August 17 - Chapter 5 Title page
August 24 - Chapter 5 Start

Two great tracks, reminds me of one of my favorite 80s synth bands Tangerine Dream. Enjoying the hiatus updates & looking forward to ask Galena. See u next week. nwbbb

I am happy with them as well, Gravity is especially nitro, imo. I also enjoy Tangerine Dream!

I love seeing the amount of detail you put into your BG! That last page was cute too.
Notos 27th Jul 2014, 7:16 PM edit delete reply
Thanks, wish I had more time for that particular BG, it was an important one, the first look at the sub levels. Still relatively happy with it, given the amount of time..

How you can you put MORE detail in that? I mean... wow!

I seriously need to own this as a complete thing. Take my money!
Notos 1st Aug 2014, 4:43 PM edit delete reply
Would have just refined it a bit more, added people, a raft or too, just would have liked more time. Ah well, look ahead not back. I'll most likely be compiling the entire story in the end, make it all 1 seamless thing, and put it up for download. If I can logistically put it on a USB key or something I'll put some extra's and goodies and sell it as a 'special edition'. We'll see, that's still a long ways off.

Have Galena and Fridge ever been an item?
Notos 27th Jul 2014, 7:15 PM edit delete reply
Scandalous. Might be a good question to ask for next week!

Notos, I did read your reply in the voice of The Ashleys from 'Recess'. Which was very pleasing!

Lots of subtle differences between the finished and the raw. Interesting to see.

How would you describe that last scene?
A steam punk swamp ghetto?
Notos 27th Jul 2014, 11:05 PM edit delete reply
Pretty close! Though maybe not necessarily 'a swamp', the sub levels are flooded by condensation runoff from all the levels above, so it's not particularly a 'natural' watery environment. Definitely a ghetto.
FrostTiger 27th Jul 2014, 11:01 PM edit delete reply
Yes. I had a good feeling that galena, or one of the female characters would be doing the next ask ___ this time around. awesome. ^^
vanadheim 28th Jul 2014, 2:16 AM edit delete reply
I can almost see barges and rafts being a major type of transport in that last panel, maybe even some with shops on board, it'd be a stark contrast from the levels above. As usual, never disappointed with your material and can't wait for next week.
Notos 29th Jul 2014, 1:12 AM edit delete reply
Yep, down there transport is almost entirely by raft or barge, aside from on-foot of course. Small gas powered motor vehicles like scooters as well, but far less common since fuel is so scarce.

Thanks again. It's pretty damn great when your "hiatus" pages are more fun than most original ones. Thanks for the work. Much appreciated.

I'm sure you've heard of Kickstarter or Patreon, but do you have a page? I would love to donate to keep you in the comic making mood, as I'm sure many of your readers are!
Notos 1st Aug 2014, 4:35 PM edit delete reply
I've heard of both, yes, though I'm not sure how I'd go about encorporating the comic for them, as it stands now I'm happy just having a donate option up above :)
MaryP 2nd Aug 2014, 2:08 AM edit delete reply
So I might have just read the whole webcomic in two days. Maybe. Ish. I'm really really enjoying this! I love the whole concept and the characters. I can't wait for hiatus to be over, looking forward to the new stufgg

Just chiming in to say that I'm keeping up and I love the story and the behind-the-scenes stuff. Vin is so adorably shy, I just want to hug him and cuddle him and tell him it'll all be okay. Bet that's how Galvin feels, too!
